This "Ten Rain Auspiciousness Pictures" album was painted by Dong Gao during the Qing Dynasty. The entire album consists of ten sections, titled with "Rain," in the following order: Appreciating Rain in a Thatch Cottage, Listening to Rain in a Small Tower, Bamboo Spring Rain, Spring Boat in Fine Rain, Rain in the Wild Hut, Taiyun Rain, New Lotus Leaf Heavy Rain, Sweet Rain in Newly Planted Fields, Xiaoxiang Night Rain, and Rain with Joy at the Famous Pavilion. Each section has poems inscribed by the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. This album is now preserved in the Taipei Palace Museum.

The leaves of trees appear greener and fuller in the rain. The grass grows even more lush, emitting the scent of earth. The seedlings in the rice fields are nourished by the rain, bursting with vitality. These atmospheres also bring people hope and peace, foretelling abundance and auspiciousness.

Hermitage Appreciating Rain

Heaven bestows sweet dew over the four suburbs. Wet and joyful is the thatched hut. The jade pot should buy fine spring light. The moist scenery fully covers the pine and bamboo nest.

Small Tower Listening to Rain

Dripping eaves spring enters the night to listen. The top of the tower cool air penetrates through sparse lattices. Most pleasing is the stream valley enhancing fine charm. Red apricot trees drunk nourish full valley fragrance.
Bamboo Spring Rain

Bamboo groves by the stream add new moisture. Misty haze floats over bamboo, colors light and deep. Ten thousand bamboos rustle in the spring rain. It seems like the sound of phoenix and peacock from afar.

Misty rain darkens the long embankment. A few light sails seem about to blend with the view. Flowers damp, willows drunk, misty green is heavy. The boat stops only at the Ruoye Creek.

Rural houses in timely rain

Silk-like threads gently scattered in silence. Bathed in the fragrance of spring, joyfully aware of the season. Farming and irrigation bring comfort to villagers. Omens of a healthy year, with abundant harvests.

Tai Mountain's clouds and rain

From the (Zhen) peak of Tai Mountain, where creation's essence converges. Swirling clouds rise, imagining following the dragon. In a single morning, rain covers the world. Generously nurturing the people with deep, rich blessings.

Spring Breeze Fine Rain

Lotus leaves suddenly drenched by rain

Dark clouds suddenly send pouring rain. Water pavilions battle green lotuses with loud sounds. Ten thousand of pearls and jade discs ripple in emerald plates. Treasures exceed those of Hepu, enriching the fields with grain.

Sweet rain in Fuxian

Sweet rain favorably moistens Fuxian. Abundantly nurturing hundred grains, spreading blessings widely. Public and private benefits are thoroughly enriched, fostering auspicious growth. Farmers' joyful voices echo through paths and fields.

Night rain on the Xiang River

The rain from Dongting flies over Xiaoxiang. It awakens the dreams of travelers on the homeward boat. The moon is dark, the clouds low, and all sounds rise together. It seems as if an emperor's daughter has descended to the celestial land.
