This "Immortal Longevity Scroll" album was likely created by Qing court painters to celebrate the emperor's birthday. The album consists of fourteen sections, depicting twelve auspicious stories: Spring Banquet in the Yaochi, Eight Auspicious Ministers, Nine Elders of Xiangshan, Seven Virtuous Scholars of Zhenyuan, Father and Son as Top Scholars, Five Elders Paying Homage to the Primordial Emperor, Five Phoenixes of the Hanlin Academy, Grand Gathering of Elderly Scholars, Three Laughs at Tiger Creek, Offering Incense to Heaven, Presenting Auspicious Trees, and Peach Banquet. This album is now preserved in the Taipei Palace Museum.
From the first illustration, "Spring Banquet in the Yaochi," it can be seen that the main character was originally the Queen Mother of the West, but in the painting, a dignified elder is receiving the celebration. This shows the Celestial Horsemen and various immortals offering peaches, orchids, and nectar. The inscriptions indicate "Joining in Celebrating the Boundless Birthday," revealing that this album, which collects various auspicious events, was created to honor the emperor's birthday.
